Youth

Who we are

St Matt’s Youth is a community of young people seeking to reflect the generosity of Christ in both word and action. We seek to welcome people without prejudice and share the love of Jesus without compromise. If you are a high school aged student we would love you to join us on Friday nights and Sundays and get involved.

When we meet

When our groups meet:

  • We play a number of games.
  • We have fun.
  • We hear a great short talk or study from the Bible.
  • We get to ask questions in discussion groups.
  • We eat supper together.
  • Sometimes we sing together.
  • We pray for one another and for our world.
  • We learn what it means to follow Jesus and live for him.

Everyone is welcome and no-one is pressured to do anything they’re not comfortable with.

SUNDAYS

On Sunday mornings running parallel with our morning services we have “Sunday Viva”. This is a time when students in years 7-9 can have fun together as they dig deeper and grow in their knowledge of Jesus.
