Who we are

St Matt’s Youth is a community of young people seeking to reflect the generosity of Christ in both word and action. We seek to welcome people without prejudice and share the love of Jesus without compromise. If you are a high school aged student we would love you to join us on Friday nights and Sundays and get involved.

When we meet

When our groups meet:

  • We play a number of games.
  • We have fun.
  • We hear a great short talk or study from the Bible.
  • We get to ask questions in discussion groups.
  • We eat supper together.
  • Sometimes we sing together.
  • We pray for one another and for our world.
  • We learn what it means to follow Jesus and live for him.

Everyone is welcome and no-one is pressured to do anything they’re not comfortable with.

Meet the team

    Jess Gough

Jess joined the team as Youth Minister in January 2019, and is keen to be apart of thriving community for young people at St Matt's. She loves good food and good coffee, but above all she loves Jesus. In her role as Youth Minister, Jess has the privilege of witnessing what God is doing in the lives of local teens as He builds within them a passion for Jesus that will shape their whole lives. Jess loves working with her youth leaders, training and equipping them to nurture the faith of our young people so that teenagers in our area might come to know Jesus and live for Him.
