3rd in our series on Genesis: The messed up family of God. God renews his promises to Abraham and Sarah, and Sarah bears Abraham a son when he is 100 years old. Hagar and Ishmael are sent away because of Sarah, yet God still cares for them and makes a promise to them also.

The speaker, Chris Donald, draws attention to the pattern that "hurt people" hurt people, but "healed people" may bring healing to others.

Abram heeds the call and goes to the land, but then messes up. But God by grace keeps his promises, and will send a Son who will overcome the mess. God's grace is greater than our mess.
